YOUR COMPLTETE SLURRY SOLUTIONS PARTNER

The use of slurry and AD waste as a valued commodity, has been taken a step further by A& R Cramphorn, which works directly with its customers to understand the specific requirements of each farmer and his land. This bespoke approach, optimises the use of specific slurry and digestate products as an effective measure for improving soil structure and fertility, increasing the potential for greater productivity.

THE COMPLETE SOLUTION TO EFFICIENT DIGESTATE APPLICATION

The expansion of the UK Biogas industry, as a source of renewable energy, has dramatically increased the number of anaerobic digestion plants producing energy throughout Britain. The development of this industry during the past decade, has enabled A & R Cramphorn, to focus on efficiently and accurately handling the digestate produced by AD plants.

The Cramphorn application system, is built around a fleet of Challenger TerraGators, fitted with high-capacity tanks and quick-fill loading systems. Slurry or digestate is applied using combination of either soil incorporating drag injectors or Vogelsang dribble bars, with working widths ranging from 15-metres to 18-metres.

FARM-TO-FIELD EFFICIENCY GUARANTEED

Equipped for low-ground pressure application, A & R Cramphorn’s Terragtors use the latest GPS technology to guarantee precise field application rates. A continuous supply of slurry and digestate from farm-to-field, is provided by a fleet of JCB Fastrac’s towing high-capacity slurry tankers. This enables the Terragator’s to keep working at maximum capacity, around the clock if necessary.

In 2015, A & R Cramphorn, applied slurry and digestate to more than 11,500 acres (4,650 Ha) of farmland. This figure increased during 2016, and is forecast to keep increasing throughout the foreseeable future.

THE KEY TO EFFICIENCY IS RELIABILITY

“Our machines are maintained to the highest standard possible. People often comment on how clean our tractors are. For me, that’s very important. You don’t get a second chance to make a first impression.
